The world’s best pâté en croûte is just a stone’s throw from our hotel
La Maison Vérot is an exceptional caterer, a craftsman who sublimates the art of cooking. Indeed,in the Verot family the talent of delicatessen-makershas been passed from grandfather to grandson since 1930!
Puddings, hams, terrines, sausages, real white ham on the bone and cooked in a cloth or head cheese and boar’s head cheese… No classic meats deli is missing, and everything is home-made!
Moreover, if delicatessen lovers cross all over Paris, brave the transport of terrines and pâtés by metro, and are not afraid of the queue overflowing onto the street, it is not quite by chance….
Discover the world’s best pâté en croûte in Paris
One of La Maison Vérot specialties? The Pâté en croûte, which has become an art.
At Hotel Raspail Montparnasse, we are particularly fond of the pâté en croûte with foie gras, sweetbreads and black truffles.
An exceptional product available only four times a year (every last Saturday in September, October, November and January), this beautiful baby of nearly 15 kilos is a real delight! We recommend that you eat it hot…
If you don’t like it, try the one with duck and orange, or with duck, fig and foie gras. Or even the traditional one with Houdan pâté, or yet pork, poultry and pistachios. There is something for everyone!
Also, if you are a country picnics lover, the house also offers a take away plate: traditional ham, Bayonne ham, dry sausage, comté cheese and Poilâne bread… Yummy!
All you need is the matching wine! What a piece of luck : La maison Verot also sell wines…
A mecca for gourmet delicatessen to visit without any restraint!
