After Shanghai, New York, Dubai and Toronto, it is now Paris’ turn to host this new kind of museum. We were rather skeptical, but we discovered a whirling and fascinating world, in which all our senses were completely turned upside down…
In a few words, the Museum of Illusion is a journey of multi-sensory experiences, in which we swing between holograms, puzzles and optical illusions that make our brains work faster than ever! So, would you like to come and lose your mind with us?
Unique experiences
If a picture is worth a thousand words… then an illusion is worth a million!
What about 70? Because that’s the number of illusions the museum has to offer: 70 surrealistic, curious, educational and fun experiments.
The plus: they are all explained on small boards, in order to give us a rational explanation about things we can’t understand.
The journey begins with geometric illusions. Using simple shapes, they transform our perception of reality. Everything then seems to us of different sizes, bigger, larger, thicker, shorter…
The next installations are more interactive. They make us play with the laws of gravity, with silhouettes and colours, or yet with movement.
Geometric illusions, stereograms, holograms, trompe l’oeil and gravity… On your way out, don’t be surprised if you walk a little sideways!
