The outdoor cinema at La Villette is a not-to-be-missed event in Paris in summer! Every year, for more than 20 years, the Parc de la Villette becomes for the summer the largest outdoor cinema in Paris …
This free festival is very emblematic of the parisian’s summer. With family, friends or with your lover, this is the perfect opportunity to laugh, to have fun, to be moved or even to sing! With an inflatable screen of 544m² (the largest in Europe), the lawn receives an average of 150 000 spectators per month during the festival!
This year, the theme of the event is « What if we sang? “
No need to say that at the hotel Raspail Montparnasse, we are completely fans. The secret music lovers and musicals fans in us were obviously very excited about singing the songs of « La La Land » with the handsome Ryan Gosling and the dazzling Emma Stone. And we were not alone!
Indeed, the whole city of Paris was here on Wednesday, July 18th! A huge crowd gathered, yet 2h before the beginning of the film show. We could not even distinguish the green of the lawn …
Some unlucky spectators even had to climb the barriers to enjoy the film!
Fortunately, we’ve had the good idea to come early to picnic. We even tried the rental of sunbed and cover for 7 € per person. It was the height of cool.
A complete success therefore for the opening of this 28th edition which is off to a flying start!
