The panoramic open-air observatory, overlooking Paris from its 210 meters height, far above Paris pollution, is the perfect spot to enjoy the Night of the Shooting stars. From anyone of the 5 observatory points, equipped to telescopes, you will marvel at the Milky Way, its constellations, its shooting starts and its mysterious planets.

Since 2009, the Fre Astronoy Association and the Panoramic Observatory of the Montparnasse Tower have joined forces to offer you a unique opportunity to admire the sky and its lights from one of the most beautiful views points of Paris. This year, the exhibition cum conference focusing on Habitable Lands allows you, through the use of digital workshops, to perfect your astronomical knowledge in a recreational way.

Thus, whether you are a seasoned amateur, a beginner, a simple curious or even in search of deeper knowledge, you will observe the Sun set on Paris, then the Moon will appear, followed to the west by Jupiter. Saturn, to the east, will  also be apparent to the naked eye, above Scorpio. You may also spot beautiful summer constellations such as The Swan, easily identifiable from its cross shape. Around midnight, the Moon will cease to illuminate the sky and disappear from the horizon. The sky will then fully reveal its starry splendor and the Milky Way will unfold .
