Cooling down in Paris during the summer? How and where ?

The temperature is soaring in Paris, and it’s becoming urgent to bring the mercury down. The Raspail Montparnasse hotel gives you some tips to chill in Paris during the summer…

The Josephine Baker Pool

One of the best way to cool off when it’s hot is obviously to take a dip in  water.

Moored near the François Mitterrand Library, you will find a floating swimming pool on the Seine, with an opening roof! It’s the Joséphine Baker pool, which also offers a paddling pool, a solarium, a fitness area … In short, a good place to chill during summer. It’s not the Côte d’Azur yet, but we’re getting there!

The Molitor Pool

Stuck between “Boulbi” (Boulogne Billancourt) and the classy 16th arrondissement, the Molitor pool spreads in a mythical art deco building, classified as a historic monument! We must admit that we, at the Hotel Raspail Montparnasse, have a soft spot for  this pool, “the place to be” during the 30s, and a real architectural masterpiece … Not to mention the deckchairs, the calm and the cocktails, all dear to our professional chillers minds.

Sure, the entrance fee is on the high side. But taking a dip in the most beautiful swimming pool of Paris is priceless.
